The more your baby suckles, the more milk you can make! When your baby suckles your breasts, signals will be sent to the brain and stimulate release of the hormones that produces more milk from your breasts. On the first day, you have to breastfeed your baby at least 3 to 4 times. From second day onwards, your baby will be more awake and you may increase the frequency of feeds to 8 to 12 times a day round the clock. Just breastfeed according to your baby's demand, even at night time.
